Wave analysis using Matlab WDS toolkit

Hi,

We use the AWAC 600khz instrument and want to derive the directional characteristics of the wave data with the WDS toolkit.

The parameter Ndir refers to the direction of the 'North' component.

Is this the heading number given by the compass of the instrument?

In the hdr.file the beams are shown like following: 

Beam1|X|East, Beam2|Y|North, Beam3|Z|Up

Hi Nikkos,

I unfortunately have little experience with the WDS code, but I did dig into it a little bit and it appears that Ndir is just a directional offset or bias correction.  An example for use would be adjusting for magnetic deviation to get wave directions in true North.
