internal sampling rate and analog inputs

Posted by Andreas Lorke at August 18. 2010

Hello,

are the analog inputs at the Vector sampled at the same high internal sampling rate as the velocity data (e.g. 250 Hz for the 0.3 m/s velocity range) and averaged prior to recording at the rate defined in the setup? Or are they only sampled once per record?

thank you and best regards,

Andreas

Hi Andreas

The analog inputs are sampled in little burst of 10 samples over a period of less than a ms to reduce the digitization noise. The samples are taken in the middle of the velocity measurement interval.  Practically speaking, sampling of the analog sensor is thus equal to the output rate from the Vector.
