correlation

Hi, I read the report "A Practical Primer for Pulse Coherent Instruments" which is written by Peter J. Rusello. It mentions that "correlation is tied to a specific beam velocity measurement, not to an orthogonal coordinate direction such as X, and any screening should take this into account". If I used the ENU coordinates, I want to know  whether the correlation could indicate the precision of measurement of eastern velocity or northern velocity.

Dear Liu Huan

ENU coordinates are generated based on information from all three beams whereas correlation values apply to one of the three beams. In other words, you cannot relate the correlation value in one beam to the measurement precision in your ENU data.

Generally speaking, one beam with low correlation values will affect all three ENU coordinates.

Best regards, Atle Lohrmann
