checksum problem with AWAC file

Hello all,

I've had a problem with the same AWAC on 2 recents deployment. I have configured the AWAC for both measuring waves and current as i do for most of the other deployments. After retrieval of the sensor, I can open the .wpr file on the AWAC AST software and convert the .wpr into all the current-related files + wad and wds. Nevertheless, I can't convert the .wpr into a .wap due to a checksum error detected by the wave processing processing. Consequently, I don't have any wave spectrum data so far. Hence the following questions:

- What can be the cause of a checksum error in AWAC files? Can it be a hardware issue, or a software one?

- Is there any matlab programm which would enable me to process my AWAC AST wave data from the .wad file?

Hello,

In most cases checksum errors are caused by communication problems during data download or instrument recorder failure. Please upload the .wpr file to our ftp server ftp://ftp.nortek-as.com/pub/incloming and we will have a look at it.

I am afraid there are no matlab programs available to process the .wad file.
