Vectrino Probe Holder

Posted by Tim Calappi at May 13. 2010

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a probe holder for a Vectrino? I would like a pretty typical setup with the probe mounted in a flume. I need fine vertical control maybe down to 0.1 mm of resolution. Transverse and streamwise control would be nice too, coarser resolution in these directions is acceptable.

Thanks,

Tim

In my lab we have bunch of old manual vernier stages we typically use for our Vectrino mounts. I don't know where to find them these days and the ones we have are probably older than I am.

We have a few ball screw style stages which are typically Velmex parts, although we also have a couple of Smart Motors from Animatics we've used for vertical positioning as well.

I think someplace like McMaster-Carr would be a good start. If I come across anything I'll be sure to post it here for you.

Thanks P.J.

I'm new to this and did not even know what to search for. With your keywords i was able to find the following:
