Synchronisation of Aquadopp Profiler HR with others.

Dear Nortek,

I am attempting to set up an array of Vectrinoes and Aquadopp Profiler HRs.  For my measurements, synchronisation in time is critical.  I found this page,

which discusses how to synchronise a Vectrino with a Vector.  However, I have been unable to find any way to synchronise an Aquadopp with either these instruments, or with another Aquadopp(s).

All I have come up with so far is to set the clocks before each deployment to GPS time.  That is discussed here:

However, as is pointed out in the link, the RTC is set with an offset of up to 0.5 [s].  The offset must then be recorded (by hand?) when the deployment is stopped.

This seems like a bit of a kludge, and I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.  Ideally, I'd like to trigger all sampling with something like Labview, but I'd also be happy if I could just use built in Nortek sampling.  Or even just a better way to accurately set the clocks on the Aquadopps.

Any suggestions?

Hi Peter,

With the standard Aquadopp Profiler electronics there is a hardware sync out option, however, there is currently no HR firmware support for the sync line.
