NortekUSA Users Symposium

The Nation’s oldest city invites you to help NortekUSA celebrate Ten Years of Innovation at the 2009 Users Symposium in St. Augustine, Florida.

Come celebrate Nortek’s 10th Anniversary hosted at the Casa Monica Hotel, a majestic 1888 landmark located in the heart of historic downtown St. Augustine, Florida. Rising like a Spanish castle overlooking Matanzas Bay, the city’s only Four Diamond hotel welcomes you into a setting of regal beauty and inspired service. Restored in 1999, the Casa Monica Hotel blends a legendary past with contemporary pleasures. In addition to over 400 years of history, St. Augustine is surrounded by an interesting and dynamic watershed.

The 2009 Users Symposium is combined with a celebration recognizing ten years of NortekUSA’s commitment to innovation for the community. Scientists and engineers in academia, private firms and government, as well as a global Nortek staff will present a variety of technical subject matters. Be prepared to get your feet wet with a live, hands-on demonstration of Nortek’s observational equipment at the Serenata Beach Club on Friday morning.

The Symposium will include two special events this year: a dedicated “Speed Networking”’ session and the 10th Anniversary Dinner Party. The “Speed Networking” session will be modeled after the notion of speed-dating. A group of seasoned professionals from academic, government and private agencies will rotate through a group of students and young professionals for a series of short intervals. This will allow an exchange of ideas that are sure to inspire both sides of the table.
